DIGIakce: How to go digital in teaching and learning vol. 2 and the multiplier event of the A3Learning project in the Czech Republic

Another Day Full of Hands-On Tech Activities for Teachers and Students – May 28, 2025, Jihlava

After a successful first round of shared activities, we warmly invite you to the second DIGIevent of its kind, which will take place on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in cooperation with T. G. Masaryk Elementary School, Jihlava. Look forward to fresh inspiration, hands-on experience with digital tools, creative learning, and above all, meaningful collaboration between students and teachers.

💡 Who is this event for?

This educational event is designed for teachers and students of the age of 11-16 years from primary or secondary schools who want to explore new digital tools and test their practical use in the classroom. The event welcomes entire teams – at least 1-2 teachers and up to 15 students. Also single teachers are welcome.

🔍 What can you expect?

🔹 Opening and introduction to the A3Learning project and NPI activities

We’ll begin with a presentation of results of the A3Learning: Learning Anywhere, Anytime, from Anyone project, which supports the development of digital competencies for both teachers and students while combining the benefits of face-to-face and online education. We will also introduce the National Pedagogical Institute of the Czech Republic (NPI) and its initiatives.

🔹 Hands-on workshops at four stations

The morning program will be divided into four 50-minute blocks, during which teachers and students will work together using various digital tools and technologies:

• Creating multimedia learning materials in Canva
• 3D modeling and printing – from design to production
• Using artificial intelligence in teaching and material preparation
• Creating short animations as part of teaching

After lunch, we will continue with a reflection session for teachers and a discussion on the following topics:

• Experiences with digital tools
• Integration of digital tools into teaching
• Future trends and innovations
• Assessment and feedback

🎓 DIGIevent in the context of A3Learning

This event is based on the principles of the A3Learning project, which promotes blended learning – combining face-to-face instruction with digital tools. We support the development of five key areas from the DigCompEdu European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators:

• Creating and editing digital teaching resources
• Digital teaching and student engagement
• Personalization and differentiated instruction
• Analyzing learning outcomes and evidence of learning
• Providing feedback and planning further learning

🧭 Event Details

📍 Where: T. G. Masaryk Elementary School, Jihlava
🗓 When: May 28, 2025 (morning session)
👥 Who: Groups of teachers and students (up to 15 students per station; no teacher limit)
🎯 How: Group work led by experienced trainers. With the support and consultations available from an additional trainer for single teachers visiting the event.

🎒 What to bring?

• Teachers: their own laptop
• Students: school laptop, tablet, or smartphone

All workshops are designed to be fully functional even with standard school equipment.

This event is organized in cooperation with T. G. Masaryk Elementary School in Jihlava and the National Pedagogical Institute of the Czech Republic as part of the DIGIakce initiative, which is supported by the National Recovery Plan. Any school in the Czech Republic can join this initiative and receive funding for organizing and sharing similar events.

The event is also supported by the statutory city of Jihlava, the founding authority of the participating schools.
